Substrate preparation and method of using travertine:

• Preparing the substrate is crucial.
• Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt, dust and old finishes.
• Remove greasy stains and strengthen weakly bonded substrates with penetrating primer.
• Careful preparation will ensure durability and aesthetics of the final finish.
• Apply the plaster in even 50 cm wide strips, wet joining them from above and smoothing out the differences.
• After steaming, smooth it out with a stainless steel spatula.
• When the plaster dries slightly, start scratching with a damp spatula, creating shades.
• After 24 hours, sand, vacuum and impregnate.
