Substrate preparation and method of using travertine:
- Preparing the substrate is crucial.
- Make sure the surface is clean, dry and free from dirt, dust and old finishes.
- Remove greasy stains and strengthen weakly bonded substrates with penetrating primer.
- Careful preparation will ensure durability and aesthetics of the final finish.
- Apply the plaster in even 50 cm wide strips, wet joining them from above and smoothing out the differences.
- After steaming, smooth it out with a stainless steel spatula.
- When the plaster dries slightly, start scratching with a damp spatula, creating shades.
- After 24 hours, sand, vacuum and impregnate.
