Kit or single product? How our categories differ

The same effect can appear in two places in our shop, and this is the most common source of questions. You will find the corten rust effect here as a complete kit and as a stand-alone structural paint in the neighbouring category. The kit costs more at checkout but less per m² of finished wall — no mismatched leftovers, and every component is matched to the effect.

Before you order: the substrate decides the result

The most common reason an effect fails is the substrate, not the product. Every kit in this category requires a sound, clean, degreased and above all smooth wall. Irregularities show through thin-layer effects. Detailed requirements are in the TDS technical data sheet on each product page — along with a calculator that converts your wall area into exact material quantities.

Frequently asked questions

What exactly does a kit contain — and what does it not?

A kit contains all the chemical products needed to create the effect: primer, the decorative product and — where the effect requires it — a protective top coat, in quantities matched to the declared wall area. Kits do not include tools (trowels, rollers, brushes) — you will find those in the related products section on each kit's page.

Do the kits come with application instructions?

Yes. Every product has a TDS technical data sheet covering substrate requirements, number of coats, drying times and consumption per m². For many kits we also publish a step-by-step video tutorial showing the full application — we are gradually recording them for the whole category.

Which decorative effects are the most popular in modern interiors?

Based on our sales the order is stable: architectural concrete effect first, rust effect second, with the glitter effect and quartz panels competing for third place — quartz panels have been gaining clearly in recent seasons.

How much does a decorative effect cost per m² to apply?

It depends on the effect. The cheapest labour is the lamb (roll-on texture) effect — from around 15 PLN/m². Simpler decorative effects typically cost 50–120 PLN/m² in labour, while Venetian stucco in advanced techniques can reach 450 PLN/m². Material costs can be calculated with the calculator on each kit's page. Labour rates are worth confirming with local applicators.

Are decorative effects safe for children and suitable for allergy sufferers?

Yes. A fully dried decorative effect poses no hazard. For dust allergies we recommend smooth finishes — a travertine effect with open pits can collect dust inside the pits, while smooth concrete or silk effects give dust nowhere to settle.

Which effects can be used outdoors, on a façade?

Only a few. The corten steel rust effect works on façades using Klondike Corten by Valpaint; a similar result is possible with Oxidecor E by Ecorson. Quartz panels and a granite effect made with quartz plaster in colours Kam 04–Kam 07 are also suitable outdoors.

Which effect best hides an uneven wall?

Matte and textured ones: concrete, travertine and the lamb texture effect. Avoid finishes that reflect light strongly — glossy, smooth surfaces highlight every irregularity instead of masking it.
