Metal paints — for fences, roofs, gutters and steel structures — plus enamels and impregnates for wood. Alkyd primer-enamels go on without a primer, and polyvinyl paints cover galvanised steel and aluminium.
We tint on site in the RAL palette. Dispatch in 1–3 days; for tinted paints allow 1–2 extra days for mixing-room preparation.

Frequently asked questions about metal and wood paints

What should I paint a galvanised roof with?

A polyvinyl paint — it is designed for direct application to steel and galvanised surfaces, without a primer. In our range that is the Roof Gutter Fence series in RAL colours, providing anti-corrosion protection and weather resistance.

What is a primer-enamel?

A two-in-one paint: primer and finishing enamel in a single product, so you paint without priming first. Alkyd primer-enamels work well on steel and cast-iron surfaces — machinery, structures and the renovation of old paint coats.

Do I have to prime metal before painting?

It depends on the paint and the surface. An alkyd primer-enamel needs no primer — that is its main advantage. Polyvinyl paint adheres directly to galvanised steel and aluminium. A separate anti-corrosion primer is used for the first coat on bare steel and cast iron, especially under finishing enamels — the details are in the technical data sheet of the chosen product.
