It is a hygiene approval from the Polish National Institute of Public Health (PZH), confirming that the cured coating is safe in contact with food and drinking water. That allows the paints in this category to be used where ordinary industrial paints are not permitted: in food plants, food warehouses and water tanks.

How do I paint a drinking-water tank?

With a system of two epoxy paints: first 1–2 coats of the Epimal Stal primer, which primes and protects the steel surface against corrosion, then 2–3 coats of the certified Epimal 200 top coat — the exact build-up depends on the technical specification of the job. The certificate covers the complete, cured coating.

Are these paints suitable for a garage floor?

Yes — it is the most common purchase among individual customers. The epoxy coating is mechanically as tough as the concrete it sits on: it gets damaged only if you damage the concrete. It also withstands aggressive chemicals — diluted acids, alkalis, salts, oils, greases, fuels and detergents — so a stain from the car does not soak into the floor.

What should I keep in mind with a two-component paint?

The substrate must be sound, clean, degreased and free of rust; remove old coatings and roughen smooth surfaces. Mix the paint thoroughly with the hardener and use it within 2 hours of preparation — after that it starts to cure in the container. Do not modify the composition by adding other substances.
