Why do master craftsmen use Uno Mass instead of a primer paint under stucco?

When applying primer paint with a roller, you leave a micro-texture on the wall, so when the first layer of stucco is applied, it fills these micro-gaps and then spreads across the surface.
By applying Uno Mass with a trowel instead of primer paint, you do not leave any texture, allowing the stucco to spread smoothly and evenly, saving you one day of work.
