Description
Ancorante PG Valpaint Adhesion Primer for Difficult Surfaces
Ancorante PG is a high-quality anchoring primer based on a waterborne emulsion, designed for preparing low-absorbency and low-adhesion surfaces.
The product has been specifically developed to improve the adhesion of decorative paints, protective coatings, and finishing systems on challenging substrates such as glass, ceramics, tiles, light alloys, and most plastic materials.
Thanks to its unique properties, Ancorante PG creates an effective bonding layer between the substrate and subsequent decorative coatings, ensuring durability, resistance, and excellent adhesion of the finish to the surface.
Applications
Ancorante PG is intended for use on surfaces requiring enhanced adhesion before the application of decorative paints and VALPAINT finishing systems.
Suitable for:
- Glass,
- Ceramic tiles,
- Porcelain stoneware,
- Light alloys,
- Most plastic materials,
- Plasterboard and drywall panels,
- Cement and concrete floors,
- Other low-absorbency substrates.
- Particularly recommended as a primer coat for VALPAINT decorative systems, including decorative effects from the METEORE collection.
Properties and Benefits of Ancorante PG:
- Excellent adhesion to difficult surfaces,
- Effectively improves the bonding of subsequent finishing coats,
- Transparent when dry,
- Ready to use,
- Easy application by brush, roller, or spray,
- Compatible with water-based paints and products containing non-aggressive solvents,
- Fast drying,
- Low odor emission,
- Suitable for interior applications.
Substrate Preparation
- Cement and Concrete Substrates
On highly absorbent surfaces, it is recommended to apply a first coat of ANCORANTE PG diluted with water at a 1:1 ratio. After approximately 2 hours, apply a second coat diluted with 50% water. Decorative finishes may be applied after a minimum of 4 hours.
- Plasterboard / Drywall Panels
The surface should be new, stable, of high quality, and previously unpainted. It is recommended to use reinforcing mesh at board joints to reduce the risk of cracking caused by substrate movement.
- Ceramic Tiles and Porcelain Stoneware
The surface must be thoroughly cleaned of all dirt, soap residues, grease, waxes, and silicones. Where mechanical preparation is possible, it is recommended to roughen the glazed surface using a diamond grinding disc. Then apply ANCORANTE PG diluted with 50% water. After approximately 4 hours, further finishing work may begin.
