Arteco 7 Venetian clay - what kind of paint is it?
Arteco 7 is a water-based decorative paint for interiors that creates a Venetian clay effect on the wall. The finish depends on the additives chosen together with the colour: without L50 the wall is matte, with L50 it gains a metallic sheen and the characteristic black flecks, and P40 flakes enrich the texture; gilded and silvered options are available too. You apply it with a decorative brush and a plastic spatula onto a primed wall. Once fully cured, the coating is breathable and takes impacts and normal wear.

When should I pick 2.5 l, and when another variant?
If you are starting from a bare wall, the set with the primer is the most convenient. The 1-litre tin plays the part of a sample for testing the colour and the technique, and the 5-litre tin is for hallways, staircases and larger areas. The 2.5-litre tin is the middle of the family - material for one room.
Do I need a primer under Arteco 7?
Yes, you prime the wall with Primart 600, applied with a paint roller. You will find it in Related products, and in the ready-made set it is calculated together with the paint.
What do the + P40 and + L50 labels next to the colours mean?
These are additives mixed in at tinting, with the surcharge shown on the selection list. L50 gives a metallic sheen with the characteristic black flecks - without it the decoration is matte. P40 is colour flakes that enrich the texture.
Is Arteco 7 right for a bedroom or a living room?
Yes, it is a water-based paint intended for interiors, and once fully cured the coating is breathable and takes impacts and normal wear. The matte version plays well in a bedroom, and the metallic one with the L50 additive in a living room.
How do I look after a painted wall?
From 15 days after application you wash marks off with water and ordinary detergents - before that the coating is still maturing. Protect a wall that has to withstand scrubbing with a sealer: Finish V18 Opaco for the matte version, Finish V18 Lucido for a decoration with L50. Protect a kitchen splashback with the two-component Kit Top Coat lacquer.
Can I paint the room myself?
The paint is easy to apply - a decorative brush and a plastic spatula are all you need. Watch the video above, it shows the whole application in time-lapse, and if this is your first go at Venetian clay, practise the technique with the 1-litre tin.
Can I return tinted paint?
No - colours prepared to individual order are not returnable. Before you buy, browse the sample-board tiles on this page or borrow the Arteco 7 sample-board catalogue and check the shade in your own light.
Every colour is tinted to your individual order, so under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act) tinted paint cannot be returned. Before you place the order, check the shade on the sample board and calculate the quantity - and if this is your first contact with Venetian clay, test the colour with the 1-litre tin.
