Description
Quick-drying alkyd primer for metal, Bato gray color
Quick-drying alkyd primer enamel in gray (RAL 7035). It is a neutral and delicate shade of gray, which is often associated with modernity, functionality and universality.
This is a product intended for self-protection of steel, cast iron and metal surfaces and for renovation of old paint coatings.
It is recommended for single-layer painting of machine elements, devices and structures, especially in corrosive urban and industrial conditions.
It can be used as a primer for phthalic, modified phthalic and chlorinated rubber enamels.
The most important properties of alkyd primer enamel:
- Fast drying time.
- Anti-corrosion – protects metals against corrosion.
- High adhesion to the substrate.
- High mechanical resistance.
- Ensures good adhesion of subsequent paint layers.
- Contains active anti-corrosion pigments (zinc, calcium, magnesium phosphates).
Application of alkyd primer enamel:
- Intended for independent use, does not require priming.
- Protects metal, steel and cast iron surfaces.
- Used for renovation of old paint coatings and elements made of steel, metal and cast iron.
- Recommended for single-layer painting of steel, metal and cast iron machines, devices and structures.
- For use in corrosive conditions (urban and industrial).
Preparing the substrate for alkyd primer enamel:
- The surface should be cleaned of dust and other impurities and degreased.
- In the case of renovation painting, the old paint layer must be removed.
Application of alkyd primer enamel:
- Ambient temperature: min. 10ºC, max. 35ºC.
- Substrate temperature: min. 5ºC, max. 35ºC, and at least 3ºC above the dew point temperature.
- Air humidity: max. 85%.
- Ensuring good ventilation is essential.
- Painting should be avoided in very hot weather to prevent solvents from being released too quickly, which may negatively affect the quality of the coating.
