Muriston Opal is a trendy and unique decorative plaster with exceptional durability, designed for both interior and exterior use, which subtly sparkles under light.

It contains carefully selected aggregates of various grain sizes and additives in the form of black and transparent pearl-glitter flakes, which give the wall surface a spectacular, shimmering effect resembling diamonds, visible under sunlight or artificial lighting.

Ideal for areas exposed to mechanical damage and dirt, it is resistant to weather conditions and can be cleaned with a pressure washer, such as a Karcher.

Thanks to its finer grain fraction, it provides greater efficiency.

The set includes:

• MFA Classic - Acrylic Primer

Absorbent (stable) substrates should be primed using diluted MFA Classic concentrate at a 1:3 ratio with water. Apply the primer with a brush, thoroughly rubbing it into the substrate. Priming strengthens the surface and increases adhesion and efficiency of subsequent layers.

• Primer EG - Colored Coarse Quartz Primer

A coarse-grain interior-exterior quartz primer, recommended to be diluted 5-15% with water and applied to the surface using a brush. It increases adhesion, adheres well, and strengthens surfaces intended for plaster application. Primer EG can be used on any type of stable substrate.

• Muriston Opal in chosen color - Plaster

A professional INOX steel trowel should be used for applying the plaster, ensuring a flawless surface finish. For smoothing, an ABS plastic trowel (24x8cm) or 330KL (CO.ME) is recommended.

Before application, the material should be thoroughly mixed with a low-speed mixer until a uniform consistency is achieved. The product is ready to use; if too thick, it can be diluted with a maximum of 5% water.

Muriston Opal is a thin-layer plaster, so it should be applied with a slight excess to prevent visible gaps after final smoothing. The entire application process should be continuous, without interruptions when adding fresh material to the already applied layer.

Depending on the size of the surface being covered, it is recommended to work in teams of 2-3 or more to ensure even plaster application. During application, the freshly applied layer should be smoothed to achieve uniform thickness, leaving excess material, which should then be gently re-smoothed with a plastic trowel to densify the plaster structure.

During application, dried plaster residue on the trowel should be cleaned with a slightly damp sponge.

It works well on various substrates such as building insulation, cement-lime plasters, gypsum board, plinths, columns, architectural forms, fences, decorative moldings, wainscoting, concrete, etc.
