Description
Bonding Coat for Traditional Plasters C19 Kleib
C19 is a dry cement mortar intended for making a plaster bonding coat, which acts as an adhesion layer between the substrate and the finishing plaster. The product improves the adhesion of subsequent layers, evens out substrate absorbency, and increases the durability of the entire plaster system.
Application of C19 bonding coat:
- preparatory layer for traditional plasters
- suitable for indoor and outdoor use
- manual and machine application
- suitable for mineral substrates such as concrete, aerated concrete, brick, ceramic blocks, and silicate blocks
Properties of C19:
- high adhesion to the substrate
- improves bonding of the finishing plaster
- reduces and equalizes surface absorbency
- resistant to moisture and frost
- easy to prepare and apply
Directions for use of C19 bonding coat:
The substrate should be sound, clean, and free of dust and contaminants. The dry mix should be combined with an appropriate amount of water to obtain a uniform, semi-fluid consistency. After a short maturation time, the mortar is ready for use.
The bonding coat is applied in a thin layer approximately 2–4 mm thick, partially covering the substrate surface. The layer should not be trowelled smooth. After initial setting, subsequent plaster layers may be applied.
