Description
The Valsetin 2 set is a complete silk-effect kit for 7-8 m² of wall: 0.75 l of Primer 400 and 1 l of Valsetin 2 decorative paint.
We tint the primer to the paint colour, so both components work towards one effect - you only choose the shade from the sample board. Work out the quantity for your area with the calculator on this page, or send us the dimensions and we will prepare a quote.

The silk effect - from the set to the sample board
The simplest route is the ready-made set, and the primer and the sample-board catalogue are sold separately too - click a tile to go to the chosen variant.

What you will see in the video (2:54)
A step-by-step guide to applying Valsetin decorative paint by Valpaint - practical tips and the spatula technique. The producer itself recommends watching the video of your chosen effect carefully before you start the work.
The set takes the matching of materials off your hands, so one important decision remains - the shade. Look at it under the light the room actually lives in, because the pearly sheen changes the play of colour with the lighting, and watch the video before the work - the producer itself recommends it, as the silky pattern comes from the way the spatula is guided.
What you get in the silk effect set
Valsetin 2 is a premium water-based decorative paint with pearly pigments, whose texture closely resembles silk fabric - with a subtle sheen and gently shifting shades. In the set you get it together with the Primer 400 undercoat, calculated for the same area and tinted to the chosen colour. You apply the primer with a roller and the paint with a stainless steel spatula, as standard in a single coat - though more can be laid, depending on the intended effect.
What the ready-made set gives you
| Feature | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Complete kit for 7-8 m²: 0.75 l of Primer 400 and 1 l of Valsetin 2 | For a single wall everything is calculated - no matching components or working out coverages. |
| Primer tinted to the paint colour | The undercoat works towards the final effect instead of showing through white - exactly as the producer recommends. |
| Primer 400 with a margin: 0.75 l at 11-12 m²/l | The undercoat will handle 8-9 m², so it will not run out before the paint. |
| A satin silk effect in a single spatula coat | The work cycle is short: the primer dries in 4-6 hours, the paint in 2 hours on the surface and 24 in full. |
| An elastic, breathable coating resistant to scrubbing | The same wall takes a restaurant or a hotel corridor, so at home it will not give up either. |
| A+ emission class, VOC of 6.6 g/l, formaldehyde-free | The set walks confidently into bedrooms and rooms where people spend a lot of time. |
Who this set is for
For anyone who wants the silk effect without assembling the materials on their own:
- a first wall with Valsetin 2 - primer and paint matched, the technique in the video above;
- a feature wall in a living room or bedroom up to 7-8 m²;
- commercial spaces - restaurants, bars and hotels, where elegance has to survive the everyday;
- trying the effect out before a bigger project - further material is a tile away above.
You will find the other kits from this group in the Decorative effects for the wall category.

Frequently asked questions about the Valsetin 2 set
What exactly is in the set and how far does it go?
The set is 0.75 l of Primer 400 and 1 l of Valsetin 2 paint, calculated together for 7-8 m² of wall. Work out the exact quantity for your area with the calculator on this page.
Is there enough primer in the set for the whole surface?
Yes, with a margin. Primer 400 covers 11-12 m² per litre, so 0.75 l handles 8-9 m² - more than the set allows for the paint. The undercoat will not run out before the decoration.
What does the work look like step by step?
First one coat of Primer 400 applied with a roller - we tint the primer to the paint colour, as the producer recommends. After 4-6 hours of drying you lay Valsetin 2 with a stainless steel spatula, as standard in a single coat. The paint dries on the surface in about 2 hours and fully in 24 - you can see the whole process in the video above.
Who is the set for, and when is it better to buy the components separately?
The set is the simplest start for a single wall up to 7-8 m² - everything matched and calculated. For a larger area it is cheaper and more convenient to build the material from bigger tins: the paint comes in 2.5 l and 4 l, and the primer separately - the tiles above take you there.
Will the silk effect survive where walls work hardest?
Yes - once fully hardened it forms an elastic, breathable coating resistant to impacts and normal abrasion, as well as to dirt, washing and intensive scrubbing. That is why Valsetin 2 works in restaurants, bars and hotels without losing its elegant look or depth of colour.
Should I watch or practise anything before the work?
The producer itself recommends watching the video of the effect technique carefully before starting - the silky pattern comes from criss-cross spatula strokes in all directions, so it is worth seeing the movement before repeating it on the wall. You will find the video above.
Is the paint in the set suitable for bedrooms and lived-in rooms?
Yes. Valsetin 2 has an A+ emission class (TVOC below 1 mg/m³), at most 6.6 g/l of volatile organic compounds against the EU limit of 200 g/l, and it releases no formaldehyde, while the hardened coating breathes.
How do I choose the colour, and what about returning the set?
You can browse the sample-board tiles on this page, download the colour catalogue from the files section, and borrow the physical sample-board catalogue - the tile above leads to it. The paint and the primer are tinted to individual order, so mixed-to-order products are not returnable.
The paint and the primer are tinted to your individual order, so under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act) mixed-to-order products cannot be returned. Before you place the order, check the shade on the sample board and calculate the quantity - and check the shade on the borrowed sample-board catalogue before you order the tinting.
Sample board photographs are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the real colours, which is affected by monitor and graphics card settings.
