Preparation of V55 Matt:
- Dilution for use as a primer/sealer: 1 part paint to 5 parts water
- Dilution for use as a finish coat: 20–30% water
Substrate Preparation for V55 Matt:
V55 Matt can be applied to various substrates, including:
- Cement,
- Plaster,
- Gypsum surfaces,
- Plasterboard / drywall,
- Wood,
- Iron,
- Previously painted surfaces, provided the existing coating is firmly adhered to the substrate.
The condition of the substrate should be assessed beforehand. Remove any old, damaged, chalking, or poorly adhered coatings, as well as any materials that may cause future delamination.
As a primer coat, apply V55 Matt already tinted and diluted with water at a ratio of 1:5.
After 4–6 hours at 20°C (68°F), fill any small holes, cracks, and surface imperfections.
To equalize substrate absorbency, reapply the tinted V55 Matt diluted 1:5 with water only to the repaired areas, then allow an additional 6–8 hours of drying time at 20°C (68°F).
After 6–8 hours from the primer application, apply tinted V55 Matt as the finish coat, diluted with 20–30% water.
Allow at least 4–6 hours between the first and second finish coats at 20°C (68°F).
