Description
Valrenna Textured Paint
This is a water-based interior paint, characterized by its unique softness to the touch and a texture reminiscent of goat leather.
You are purchasing only the Valrenna textured paint without the primer. To achieve the decorative effect, Primer 400 is also required. At the bottom of the page, you will find a related products section with a link to the complete Valrenna set.
Valrenna contains specially selected resins and pigments, which allow for the creation of decorative effects similar to the appearance of soft fabrics, available in exceptionally elegant shades.
The product can be applied to various surfaces such as cement, plaster, stucco, drywall, wood, or iron, provided the surface is properly prepared.

Application Methods for Valrenna:
- Goat Leather Effect: Apply with a brush in different directions, then smooth with a dry brush.
- Shantung Effect: Use a short-nap roller and a brush to create vertical patterns.
- Linen Effect: Use a short-nap roller and a brush to create intersecting lines.
Surface Preparation for Valrenna:
- The surface intended for Primer 400 application should be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and other contaminants.
- It should also be primed and prepared in the usual manner for decorative topcoat paint.
- This process increases the efficiency of Primer 400.
- Before painting, the primer should be diluted with water in a ratio of 10%-30% and thoroughly mixed to achieve a uniform consistency.
Goat/Suede Leather Effect:
- Step I - Surface Preparation and Primer Application
First, apply a uniform layer or two layers of Primer 400 to achieve even coverage in the desired color. The best tool for application is a roller with a 5–10 mm nap. Allow the primer to dry for 12 hours at 20°C.
- Step II - Applying Valrenna Paint
Before application, dilute the paint with water in a ratio of 20%-30% and mix thoroughly. Use a PV76 brush for application. Apply the paint in short, crisscross strokes up to 15 cm in different directions. After 5–10 minutes, go over the painted surface with a clean brush using the same strokes to remove any streaks and achieve a matte finish.
- Step III - Second Coat of Valrenna Paint
After 5–6 hours from the first coat, repeat the application process as described in Step II. This will enhance the suede effect and provide a uniform finish.
Linen Effect:
- Step I - Surface Preparation and Primer Application
This step is the same as for the Goat Leather Effect.
- Step II - Applying Valrenna Paint
Before application, dilute the paint with water in a ratio of 20%-30% and mix thoroughly. For the linen technique, use a 5–10 mm roller and a stiff-bristle brush. Apply the first coat with a roller in a vertical direction. While the paint is still wet, use the brush to create a "brushed" linen texture, following the roller's vertical direction.
- Step III - Second Coat of Paint
After 5–6 hours, apply the second coat with a roller in the opposite direction (horizontal). While the paint is still wet, use the brush again to enhance the linen fabric texture, following the horizontal direction.
Shantung Effect:
- Step I - Surface Preparation and Primer Application
This step is the same as in previous effects.
- Step II - Applying Valrenna Paint
Before application, dilute VALRENNA paint with water in a ratio of 20%-30% and mix thoroughly. For the Shantung technique, use a 5–10 mm roller and a decorative brush. Apply the first coat with a roller in a uniform direction – either vertical or horizontal. While the paint is still wet, use the brush to "brush out" the characteristic Shantung texture.
- Step III - Second Coat of Valrenna Paint
After 5–6 hours, repeat the process described in Step II. Applying the second coat in the same manner will achieve the full and consistent decorative effect typical of Shantung fabric.
