What is Kit Top Coat AR70 Opaco + CT80?
Kit Top Coat AR70 Opaco + CT80 is a transparent, two-component epoxy finish by Valpaint that gives a matte, uniform final effect resistant to chemicals and ordinary abrasion. It is recommended for both walls and floors and most often works as the final coat in the Valpaint microcement system. It can be tinted according to the I-Beton and E-Volution microcement colour palettes so the finish matches the floor or wall.

| Feature | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Consumption 0.05–0.07 kg/m² | Two coats from 0.4 kg cover 5–8 m², from 1 kg 12–20 m², from 3.3 kg 40–66 m² — one 3.3 kg pack protects the floor and walls of a whole bathroom with some to spare. |
| Chemical resistance | The surface withstands cleaning agents and ordinary abrasion — for floors, worktops and walls in kitchens and bathrooms. |
| Matte and uniform | The finish is matte and even across the whole surface — no gloss patches typical of one-component varnishes. |
| Two components | AR70 Opaco + CT80 hardener — mix before use and you get a hard, chemical-resistant coating. |
| Walls and floors | One varnish for the whole microcement room — no separate product for the floor. |
| Tinting | Tinted from the I-Beton and E-Volution palettes — a finish in the microcement colour instead of a clear layer. |
Where does Top Coat AR70 Opaco work best?
- Microcement floors — the layer that takes the abrasion and chemicals instead of the decoration underneath.
- Bathrooms and showers — Valpaint microcement walls and floors in constant contact with water and cleaning agents.
- Kitchens — walls by the worktop and the floor exposed to grease and detergents.
- Decorative walls — matte, uniform protection without changing the character of the effect.

Frequently asked questions
How many m² does Kit Top Coat AR70 Opaco + CT80 cover?
At 0.05–0.07 kg/m², two coats protect 5–8 m² from 0.4 kg, 12–20 m² from 1 kg and 40–66 m² from 3.3 kg. The calculator on this page picks the size for your area.
Which size should I choose for a bathroom?
Count walls and floor together and enter the area in the calculator: 0.4 kg is 5–8 m² (e.g. just a shower tray or worktop), 1 kg is 12–20 m², 3.3 kg is 40–66 m² — a whole room with some to spare.
Can I apply Top Coat myself?
It is a two-component varnish — mix AR70 Opaco with the CT80 hardener and apply two coats according to the instructions in the downloads at the bottom of the page. The techniques for laying the microcement it finishes are described in the guides below.
Is it suitable for floors and wet rooms?
Yes — it is recommended for both walls and floors; the matte coating is resistant to chemicals and ordinary abrasion, which is why it is used in bathrooms, showers and kitchens on Valpaint microcement.
Can the varnish be tinted and can I return it?
Yes — we tint it to order from the I-Beton and E-Volution microcement colour palettes, which is why tinted colours are non-returnable. Before buying, work out the quantity with the calculator on this page.
How is it different from an ordinary varnish?
It is two-component and epoxy: once cured with the CT80 hardener it gives a hard, chemical-resistant coating with a matte, uniform finish, designed for the Valpaint microcement system.
Which Valpaint microcement does it go with?
Both systems — I-Beton and E-Volution; both palettes also serve for tinting the varnish. A comparison of the systems is in the guide below.
