Description
Primer 400 is a priming undercoat with a coverage of 11-12 m² per litre, preparing the wall for Valrenna, Arteco 7 Venetian clay and the Valsetin 2 silk effect.
It is easy to apply, covers well and is washable, and it works inside and outside buildings. It comes in 0.75 l, 2.5 l and 5 l tins - white or tinted to the colour of your decoration. Work out the quantity for your area with the calculator on this page.
When ordering the primer together with a decorative paint, add a note saying which colour it should be tinted to - under Valsetin 2 the producer itself recommends a primer in the colour of the chosen paint. What is the Primer 400 undercoat?
Primer 400 Valpaint is a priming undercoat for walls, for interior and exterior use, whose job is to prepare the surface for decorative paints - especially those from the Valpaint range. It is easy to apply, covers well and can be washed, and its high adhesion makes the decorative paint bond more strongly with the wall - the final finish gains durability and looks.

How long does the primer dry between coats?
Surface drying takes 2 hours at 20°C, the second coat - if needed, as the standard is 1-2 coats - goes on after 4-6 hours, and final drying takes 24 hours.
How do I prepare the surface before priming?
The wall must be clean, dry and free of dust, grease and contaminants, and additionally primed and prepared as for painting with an ordinary decorative topcoat. A surface prepared this way increases the primer's efficiency.
What is the difference between the white and the tinted version?
White is the standard, straight off the shelf. We prepare the tinted version to the specific colour of your decoration - just include that information when placing the order. It matters especially under Valsetin 2, where the producer recommends tinting the primer to the chosen paint colour.
What can I apply Primer 400 with?
