Description
The Klondike Light Valpaint set contains 1 l of decorative paint and 0.5 l of primer paint - a complete kit for 4-6 m² of wall with a rust effect in light, matt colours with metallising accents of gold and silver.
You choose the colour from the Klondike Light colour chart on this page, and we tint the paint to your order. Any colour can be enriched with a golden glow from Gold G100 or a silver glow from Silver G200, and some colours are also available with the Star G300 additive. What is the Klondike Light corrosion effect?
Klondike Light is a water-based Valpaint decorative paint for interiors that imitates a rust effect in light colours - matt, with refining metallising shades of gold and silver. It is the latest version of the Klondike effect, created as a collection of light shades.
The finish is highly washable and optically evens out wall irregularities. It is also resistant to high temperatures, so you can use it on a heated wall or a fireplace, and beyond walls also on joinery, furniture and metal elements.

Where does the light rust effect set work best?
- Heated wall or fireplace - resistance to high temperatures lets you paint areas that get a lot of heat.
- Bright living spaces - a corrosion effect in a light, matt tone instead of dark rust.

Frequently asked questions
How many m² does one Klondike Light set cover?
One set covers 4 to 6 m². For 10 m² you need 2 or 3 sets, depending on the wall and the application method. The calculator on this page will give you the exact number.
Why is the set rated at 4-6 m² when the paint alone covers 5-6 m² per litre?
The coverage of Klondike Light depends on the roughness and absorbency of the wall and on the application method. For the set we use a more cautious lower limit, so that you do not run out of material halfway through the wall on a more demanding surface.
How many coats do I apply and how long does Klondike Light take to dry?
You apply two coats. At 20 °C the surface is dry after 2 hours, the next coat goes on after 5-6 hours, and the paint fully hardens after 24 hours.
What is in the set and are tools included?
The set contains 1 l of Klondike Light decorative paint tinted to your chosen colour and 0.5 l of primer paint. Tools are not included - you will find Venetian trowels in the Related products section.
Can I create the Klondike Light effect myself?
The video above shows three application methods step by step. Choose one of them and practise it on a piece of board or a small section of wall before you start the whole surface.
Where can I use Klondike Light and where not?
It is an interior paint, so do not use it on facades. Indoors it works on walls, including heated walls and around a fireplace, as well as on joinery, furniture and metal elements.
What is the difference between the Gold G100, Silver G200 and Star G300 additives?
Gold G100 adds a golden glow and Silver G200 a silver one. Star G300 is available with some colours and brings out the colour even more. You choose the additive together with the colour, and you see the surcharge straight away.
How do I choose a colour and can I return the set?
The palette is on this page, but light shades of corrosion are best judged on the Klondike Light sample catalogue, which you can borrow. We tint the paint to your order, so we cannot take back a set in the colour you chose.
Important: we tint Klondike Light paint to your individual order, so a set in your chosen colour cannot be returned - this is an exception under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act). Before you order, check the colour on the Klondike Light sample catalogue and work out your area in the calculator.
