A step-by-step tutorial on creating an architectural concrete effect with Beton Art plaster by Ecorson: MFA Classic primer, Bucciato E quartz base coat, a first coat of Calce Marmorino, a second coat of Beton Art and Lumicca Incolore impregnating varnish — all with a stainless trowel. The video is in Polish.
How many buckets for your walls? The calculator on this page converts your area into kilograms; match primer, base coat, Calce Marmorino and varnish to 25 kg of Beton Art in proportion. Colour chart shades are for reference — the colour on screen differs from the one you get in real life, so before ordering a bucket check the colour with the 1 kg tester on your own wall. What is Beton Art Ecorson plaster?
Beton Art is a coarse-grained decorative plaster by Ecorson for creating an architectural concrete effect indoors and — after impregnation — outdoors; it works in a system with MFA Classic primer, Bucciato E quartz base coat, Calce Marmorino first-coat plaster and Lumicca Incolore impregnating varnish. It is a natural product with an alkaline pH that prevents fungi, mould and other microorganisms from settling; apply it ready to use with a stainless trowel at +10 to +30 °C. You choose the final finish yourself: matte, lightly burnished or satin. Everything is fully dry after 12 hours.

| Feature | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Consumption in the system | 18 kg of Beton Art per 10 m² as the second plaster coat — 25 kg is roughly 13–14 m²; choose the number of buckets with the calculator. |
| Scrub and impact resistant | Applied as a system it withstands washing and knocks — for corridors, garages and rooms with children and pets. |
| Indoors and outdoors | Colour-fast; after impregnation with Lumicca Incolore varnish it is also suitable for facades. |
| Water vapour diffusion | The wall breathes — for kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and food-related rooms. |
| Alkaline pH | A natural product that prevents fungi and mould — which is why it goes into hospitals, nurseries and care homes. |
| Fills and levels | Fills unevenness well, so it also serves to level surfaces; excellent adhesion to various substrates. |

Frequently asked questions
How much Beton Art do I need per m²?
In the 10 m² system 18 kg of Beton Art goes on as the second coat (the first is 7 kg of Calce Marmorino), so 25 kg is roughly 13–14 m² — a size for professionals and whole rooms. The calculator on this page converts your area into kilograms.
How long does Beton Art take to dry and how many coats are needed?
You apply 2 coats of plaster: first Calce Marmorino, then Beton Art. Everything is fully dry after 12 hours.
Can I do the concrete effect myself?
The product is ready to use and is applied with a stainless trowel in the order shown in the video above: primer, quartz base coat, two coats of plaster, varnish. Keep to the application temperature of +10 to +30 °C.
Is Beton Art suitable outdoors and in bathrooms?
Yes — it is an interior-exterior product, colour-fast; outdoors it requires impregnation with Lumicca Incolore varnish. Thanks to water vapour diffusion and alkaline pH it works in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries.
How do I choose a colour and can I return the plaster?
Pick a colour from the chart and we tint the plaster to your order — that is why tinted colours are non-returnable. The on-screen chart is for reference, so before ordering buy the 1 kg tester and check the shade in real life.
What finish can I get?
Matte, lightly burnished or satin — depending on how you finish the last coat; a wide colour range allows both modern and traditional schemes.
Is the plaster scrub and impact resistant?
Yes — applied as a system it is scrub resistant and has excellent impact resistance, which is why it goes into corridors, garages and high-traffic areas.
Is Beton Art safe in a nursery or hospital?
Yes — it is a natural product with an alkaline pH that prevents fungi, mould and other microorganisms from settling; used in hospitals, clinics, kindergartens, nurseries and care homes.
Important: we tint the plaster to individual order — colours prepared to order are non-returnable. Before buying a bucket, check the colour in real life with the 1 kg tester, work out the quantity with the calculator and watch the video for the application order.
