The Rococo set is a complete material package for 10-12 m² of Venetian stucco with 3-4 coats: 1 l of Primer 1200, 4 l of Rococo stucco and 1 l of Cera burnishing wax.
From priming to the final gloss you buy nothing else apart from the tools. We tint the colour to your order from the catalogue, and you can also tint the stucco yourself with ordinary pigments - more on that below. When choosing the stucco version, bear in mind that the mirror is made with type 1000 - it has a more intense gloss and is easier to burnish. Look at the shade on the sample board under the light the wall will actually live in, because gloss amplifies the play of colour and light.
What you get in the Venetian stucco set
Rococo is a Valpaint Venetian stucco with a very smooth structure which, properly executed, imitates polished marble - and in the set you get it together with Primer 1200 and Cera wax, calculated for a shared area of 10-12 m². Stucco applied with a brush is matte; you bring out the gloss by smoothing with a trowel. The set is intended for interiors, and the finished decoration takes knocks and abrasion, so it also works in high-traffic areas.

What exactly is in the set and how far does it go?

Why is the set calculated for 10-12 m² when the data sheet states more?
The stucco's technical data sheet states 7-8 m² per litre with two coats, so 4 litres carries a healthy margin. We calculate the set conservatively - for a fourth coat, touch-ups and a first go at the technique - so the material does not run out on the last wall. The margin is not an invitation to lay it on thick: the basic rule of stucco is thin coats, worked down as close to zero as possible.
Which stucco version should I choose - 800 or 1000?
Stucco 1000 Lucido is Valpaint's best-selling stucco type - it has a more intense gloss and is easier to burnish, so the mirror effect is made with it. Stucco Veneziano 800 gives a subtle, lighter shine, professionals rarely pick it, and we bring it in to order, which adds 2-3 days to the lead time.
Can I tint the stucco myself?
Yes - you can tint Rococo on your own with ordinary paint pigments. Professionals use this for advanced marbling: they portion out the 4-litre bucket and tint each portion differently, according to the effect they want. As standard, we tint the stucco to your order from the catalogue.
Why is there wax in the set?
Cera wax protects the stucco and enhances the final effect. After application it is polished, which adds gloss and visual depth, makes cleaning easier and protects the surface against moisture, dirt and detergents. It comes in the set, so the protection stage needs no separate shopping.
What does the work look like step by step, and how long does it dry?
First the Primer 1200 undercoat, with a coverage of 8-10 m² per litre - a wall that is already primed, clean and grease-free needs no priming. Then the stucco coats: surface drying takes 3-4 hours at 20°C and after that time you lay the next one, while final drying takes 24 hours. Stucco applied with a brush is matte - you bring out the gloss by smoothing with a trowel, and you can see the whole process in the video above.
Can I do the set myself?
Venetian stucco, especially in the mirror version, is a material that shows the craftsman's hand - the gloss is born at the smoothing and burnishing stage, and that is where practice counts. For the mirror effect we recommend a professional. How do I choose the colour, and can I return the set?
You choose the colour from the catalogue - browse the shade tiles on this page, and you can borrow the physical sample board from us. The stucco is tinted to individual order, so mixed-to-order products are not returnable - which is why, before buying the whole set, it is worth checking the sample board or testing the colour with the 1-litre tin from the stucco's own page.
The stucco is tinted to your individual order, so under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act) mixed-to-order products cannot be returned. Before you place the order, check the shade on the sample board and calculate the quantity - and test the colour and the technique with the 1-litre tin from the stucco page.
