What is Klondike Corten structural paint?
Klondike Corten is a single-component decorative mass that imitates corroded corten steel, and here you buy it without the primer. You build the dripped effect with a brush and a trowel - it is the way you guide the tool, not the product itself, that decides the final pattern of the rust. The mass is ready to use and only needs stirring before work. Once cured, the coating does not absorb water and can be wiped clean, and indoors it is completely safe for the surroundings.

Where to use Klondike Corten - facades and interiors
This product is intended for use both inside and outside buildings, and once dry it withstands temperatures from -40°C to +50°C. Most often it ends up in places like these:
- facades and external walls, where resistance to frost and sun matters;
- sections of facade set against render, concrete or wood - a rusted plane gives the building an industrial, refined character;
- homes and commercial interiors, because indoors the product is completely safe for the surroundings;
- surfaces where you are repeating an effect made earlier and only need to top up the paint.

Frequently asked questions about Klondike Corten paint
Is the primer included in the price?
No, on this page you are buying the Klondike Corten structural paint on its own. You order Primer 1200 separately, or take the ready-made set in which the paint and the primer are calculated for the same area.
Which primer should I buy for Klondike Corten?
We normally work on Primer 1200, which covers 8-10 m² per litre and goes on with a paint roller. A litre of primer therefore serves a far larger area than a litre of the decorative paint.
I already have a different primer on the wall - can I paint over it?
That depends on what exactly is on the wall. Tell us which primer you used and what condition the surface is in, and we will check it before you order - better to clear this up now than after the first coat is on.
How much paint do I need for my wall?

How does this paint differ from the Klondike Corten set?

Can I do it myself, without a professional?
Klondike Corten is a single-component mass that only needs stirring before use, so the application itself is not difficult. Watch the video above first, because it shows three methods of application, and the method you pick decides how the finished wall looks.
What tools do I need?
For the paint itself you need a brush and a trowel - that is what builds the texture and the dripped effect. A paint roller is only useful for spreading the primer, if the wall has not been primed yet.
How do I choose the colour, and can I return it?
You choose the shade from the Klondike Corten sample board, and you can borrow that sample board from us to see the colour in your own light. We tint the paint to individual order, so colours prepared to order are not returnable - which is why it is worth seeing the sample board before you decide.
Every colour is tinted to your individual order, so under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act) tinted paint cannot be returned. Before you place the order, check the shade on the sample board and make sure of the quantity - in practice those two steps remove the risk of a mistake.
Sample board photographs are for illustration only and may differ slightly from the real colours, which is affected by monitor and graphics card settings.
