Description
Bolix BQS Mass – compound for filling joints between BOLIX BQS flexible tiles
BQS Mass is a specialist, ready-to-use compound designed for the aesthetic and durable filling of corner joints between flexible tiles (brick slips).
The product provides perfect colour matching and high resistance to external factors, making it an essential component of the complete BOLIX BQS system.
It is a product developed specifically as part of the complete BOLIX BQS system, ensuring the highest aesthetics and durability of corner joints. Thanks to its high resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation, the compound guarantees a long-lasting visual effect and full protection of the cladding.
Key advantages of BQS Mass:
- High flexibility – the compound works together with the substrate, compensating thermal stresses and minimizing the risk of cracking.
- Resistance to weather conditions and UV radiation – due to the presence of UV absorbers and highly durable polymers.
- Protection against fungi and algae – the formula is enriched with biocidal additives that prevent biological growth on the cladding.
- Vapour permeability – allows walls to breathe freely.
- Hydrophobic and frost-resistant after curing – resistant to rain, water, and negative temperatures.
- Easy application – suitable for application with a finger or a narrow spatula.
- No impregnation required – no additional treatments to reduce absorbency are necessary.
Application of Bolix BQS Mass
Bolix BQS Mass is used to fill corner joints formed between Bolix BQS tiles (brick slips). It ensures an aesthetic, tight, and waterproof joint that is invisible from a distance of several metres. It is an integral part of the cladding system and should be used in accordance with the technical data sheets of BOLIX BQB and BOLIX BQS.
Instructions for use of BQS Mass:
1. Substrate preparation:
- The cladding must be installed in accordance with the guidelines for BOLIX BQS tiles.
2. Product preparation:
- The packaging contains a ready-to-use compound.
- Before application, mix thoroughly until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- Do not add water or any other substances.
3. Application:
- Apply at least 4 hours after the BOLIX BQB adhesive-joint compound has dried (conditions approx. +23°C, 50% RH).
- Fill corner joints using a finger or a spatula, matching the colour to the tiles.
- The compound should be flush with the tile surface.
- Smooth with a finger or a slightly damp brush.
