Description
BOLIX OP – Plaster Primer for Thin-Layer Mineral, Acrylic and Decorative Plasters
Bolix OP is a high-quality plaster primer designed for priming wall surfaces before applying thin-layer mineral, acrylic, and decorative plasters. The product equalizes absorbency and improves substrate adhesion while protecting it against the adverse effects of moisture. It is an essential component of BOLIX insulation systems, ensuring durability and an aesthetic appearance of the plaster finish.
Key features of Bolix OP:
- Facilitates plaster application – contains quartz flour that improves the substrate structure.
- Strengthens the substrate – stabilizes the surface, reduces dusting, and improves its performance parameters.
- Protects against moisture – creates a coating resistant to the harmful effects of moisture.
- Minimizes the risk of discoloration and staining – limits the penetration of contaminants from the substrate into the plaster.
- Improves substrate uniformity – equalizes absorbency, contributing to even drying and appearance of the plaster.
- Prevents blistering and plaster detachment – especially in ETICS systems on EPS and mineral wool.
- Intended for both interior and exterior use.
Bolix OP can be applied on:
- external walls of existing and new buildings,
- interior surfaces,
- reinforced layers of ETICS insulation systems,
- mineral substrates: concrete, cement plasters, cement-lime plasters.
The substrate for Bolix OP must be:
- stable, load-bearing, clean, dry, free of dust, grease, and efflorescence,
- free from loose and delaminating layers,
- in insulation systems – the reinforced layer must be made in accordance with the current ITB guidelines.
- Surface irregularities should be leveled with adhesive or cement mortar, depending on the substrate type.
