Description

Valpaint mandala stencil for decorative plasters - 20 patterns from 40×40 cm to 65×91 cm, including two two-part sets, for printing an ornament in plaster on a wall or ceiling.

You choose the pattern above the price by its art. number 200-219 - the dimensions of each are listed in Key Information on this page. The stencil works with various decorative plasters; in our range it is part of the Vintage effect on Meteore 10.

The Vintage kit and other Meteore 10 versions

You print the stencil with Meteore 10 plaster - the Vintage kit gives you the whole system for it, and alongside there is plain concrete, the Moon effect and the plaster bucket on its own; the prices on the tiles update automatically.

Before you choose a pattern, measure the wall and check in the gallery how the individual mandalas look once printed in plaster - on a small wall a 40×40 cm ornament works better, on a large surface one of the bigger patterns or a two-part set. If you are torn between two patterns or unsure which plaster to use, give us a call - we will advise.

What is a mandala stencil for decorative plasters?

A mandala stencil is a cut-out ornament pattern that you hold against a wall or ceiling, apply decorative plaster over, and when you remove it a printed relief remains - this is how mandalas appear on walls without drawing or hand-painting the pattern. Valpaint offers 20 ornaments, from compact 40×40 cm rosettes to large compositions and two-part sets.

The stencil is made of good material, is easy to place on the wall and just as easy to remove once the work is done. It suits various types of decorative plaster, and the mandala pattern gives an interior an oriental character, bringing calm and harmony.

What the mandala stencil gives you

FeatureWhat it means for you
20 patterns, art. 200-219You pick an ornament to match the style of the room and the size of the wall - from a 40×40 cm rosette to a 65×91 cm composition.
Two-part sets (art. 215 and 218)Two elements combine into one larger pattern - for a big accent wall or a ceiling.
Easy to stick on and take offThe stencil stays on the wall while you work, and after the plaster goes on you remove it without tearing the pattern.
For various decorative plastersWorks with trowel-applied plasters - in our range with white Meteore 10 in the Vintage effect.
Walls and ceilingsThe same stencil prints on the wall behind the bed and on the ceiling above the table - the pattern does not depend on the surface.

Where a plaster mandala looks best

  • An accent wall in the bedroom or living room - a single mandala in the centre of the surface.
  • The ceiling above the table or bed, where the ornament replaces a ceiling rose under the lamp.
  • Boho, oriental and eclectic interiors, where the wall should carry a calm, symmetrical pattern.
  • Yoga studios, consulting rooms and beauty salons building an atmosphere of harmony.

The plasters and effects the stencil combines with are in the Decorative effects for the wall category.

In Related products you have the Meteore 10 Vintage kit, in which the stencil is the key tool, as well as Meteore 10 plaster and Primer 1200 if you are putting the decoration together from individual products.

Questions about the Valpaint mandala stencil

What sizes do the mandala stencils come in?

The smallest patterns are 40×40 cm (art. 211 and 212), typical ornaments range from 59×47 to 67×45 cm, and the largest are the two-part sets: art. 215 (47×47 + 22×24 cm) and art. 218 (65×91 cm). The full list of 20 patterns with dimensions is in Key Information on this page.

How do I match the mandala size to the wall?

Measure the surface where the ornament will go and leave free space around it - a 40×40 cm mandala suits a narrow wall or the space above a chest of drawers, patterns of around 60×45 cm a standard wall behind the bed, and the 65×91 cm two-part set a large accent wall or ceiling. The gallery shows the printed patterns, which makes choosing easier.

Which plaster do I use the mandala stencil with?

The stencil suits various trowel-applied decorative plasters. In our shop it is the tool for the Vintage effect: you print the ornament on white Meteore 10 plaster and add the colour with a glaze - the complete kit is on the first tile in the description.

Can I print a mandala myself?

Sticking the stencil on and taking it off is simple, and the job itself is applying plaster over the stencil with a trowel and scraping off the excess with a spatula. Finishing the edges of the pattern can be trickier, so practise on a piece of board before printing the ornament on the finished wall, or hand it to a professional decorator.

Can a mandala be done on the ceiling?

Yes, the stencil is intended for walls and ceilings. On a ceiling you usually print one larger pattern or a two-part set where a ceiling rose would normally sit under the lamp; remember that you are applying plaster overhead, so stable support is worth having.

Can I return the stencil if I pick the wrong pattern?

The stencil is neither tinted nor made to order, so returns follow the shop's general rules - the details are in the Returns and complaints section. To avoid swapping the pattern afterwards, look through the gallery and compare the dimensions with your wall before buying.

Is one stencil enough for a whole wall?

One stencil is one ornament that you print in the chosen spot - for an accent wall it is usually enough. If you plan several different mandalas on one surface or on several walls, add several patterns with different art. numbers to your basket.
