Description

Meteore 10 Cemento Rigato Valpaint is a kit for 15 m² of combed concrete plaster: 12 l of Meteore 10 plaster, 2 l of Primer 1200 and 5 l of tinted C100 Over glaze - a wall with a clear, ribbed concrete pattern.

The colour of the grooves depends on the shade of the glaze, which you choose above the price from the Meteore 10 sample book; check the number of kits for your wall with the calculator on this page. Until the end of 2026 we add a flexible comb free with the purchase of this kit - the tool without which this texture cannot be made - one per customer.

Meteore 10 in other versions

If ribbing is too much, the same material makes smooth concrete, the cratered Moon or the retro Vintage effect, and the plaster bucket is sold on its own - the prices on the tiles update automatically.

Flexible comb free until the end of 2026. The tool for this texture is expensive and hard to find, so we add it to the purchase of the Cemento Rigato kit at no extra charge - one comb per customer, regardless of the number of kits ordered.

Pick the shade of the glaze from the Meteore 10 sample book, not from photos - you can borrow the sample book from us and compare the colour in your own light. Work out the area with the calculator on this page, and if you have a question about the comb or the layout of the grooves on your wall, give us a call - we will advise before you buy.

What is the combed concrete plaster Cemento Rigato?

Cemento Rigato is a Valpaint wall decoration on Meteore 10 plaster in which the fresh material is drawn through with a flexible comb and, once dry, coloured with C100 Over glaze - the result is ribbed concrete with clearly marked lines, often called scratched or combed decorative plaster after the tool used to make it. The texture gives the wall depth and rhythm, which is why it suits lofts, modern offices and living rooms or bedrooms meant to be finished in an unconventional way.

The kit is sized for 15 m² and contains three products: primer, plaster and tinted glaze. You get the comb for the texture from us free with the purchase.

What the combed plaster kit contains

FeatureWhat it means for you
Meteore 10 plaster - 12 lOne coat of diluted material with a trowel over 15 m² - this is where you draw the grooves with the comb.
Primer 1200 - 2 lPrimer under the plaster for 15 m² - without it the diluted Meteore 10 will not bond evenly to the substrate.
Tinted C100 Over glaze - 5 lDiluted and brushed on, it runs into the grooves and adds colour in your chosen shade from the sample book - the final stage.
Flexible comb freeWe add it to the purchase until the end of 2026, one per customer - ordinary plasterers' combs give a different, coarse texture.
DurabilityThe finished decoration is durable and resistant to damage, so it also suits offices and commercial premises.
Complete kit for 15 m²Primer, plaster and glaze in amounts for one wall - for a larger area the calculator adds further kits or components.

How to create combed plaster Cemento Rigato step by step

  1. Paint the wall with Primer 1200.
  2. Once the primer is dry, apply diluted Meteore 10 with a trowel.
  3. Form the grooves with the flexible comb in the fresh material.
  4. Wait for the plaster to dry, about 24 h, and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  5. Brush on the tinted, diluted C100 Over glaze.

Why an ordinary plasterer's comb will not give this effect

In the photos you see fine, even ribbing, which only comes from a flexible comb drawn across fresh Meteore 10. The plasterers' combs and notched trowels commonly available leave a coarse, deep texture, as if a tiler had spread adhesive on a floor with a notched trowel - that is a different decoration, not Cemento Rigato.

The right tool is expensive and hard to get hold of even for us, so until the end of 2026 we add it to the purchase of the kit at no extra charge. One comb is enough for the whole job, so you receive it once, regardless of the number of kits.

Where combed plaster looks best

  • Lofts and industrial interiors, where raw concrete gets an elegant, repeating rhythm of lines.
  • Modern offices and receptions - a ribbed wall replaces panels and cladding.
  • A living room or bedroom on one accent wall, especially with light from the side that picks out the grooves.
  • Service premises and restaurants that want a texture that stands up to everyday use.

Other concrete textures and decorative plasters are in the Decorative effects for the wall category.

In Related products you can buy the kit components separately - Meteore 10 plaster, Primer 1200 and C100 Over glaze - as well as Finish V18 sealer, and see the other concrete effects on this material: Cemento Slim, Cemento Large, Cemento Levigato and Compatto.

Questions about the combed plaster kit Meteore 10 Cemento Rigato

How many square metres does the Cemento Rigato kit cover?

For 15 m² of wall - the kit holds 12 l of Meteore 10 plaster, 2 l of Primer 1200 and 5 l of tinted C100 Over glaze. Work out a larger area with the calculator on this page; you still receive one comb, regardless of the number of kits.

Is scratched or combed plaster the same as Cemento Rigato?

Yes - these are the everyday names for this effect. Scratched, because the texture is made by drawing a tool across fresh plaster, and combed, because that tool is a flexible comb. The manufacturer calls the effect Cemento Rigato, meaning ribbed concrete.

Which comb do you use for combed plaster?

A flexible comb for decorative plasters, which is expensive and hard to find. Ordinary plasterers' combs and notched trowels give a coarse, deep texture like tile adhesive, not the fine ribbing in the photos. Until the end of 2026 you get the right comb from us free with the purchase of the kit, one per customer.

Can I do combed plaster myself?

It is five steps and a product the manufacturer describes as easy to apply, but drawing the comb evenly across the whole wall takes a steady hand - practise on a piece of board before you start. If you would rather hand it to a professional, a decorator with trowel experience will manage it comfortably.

How long does the plaster dry before the glaze?

After the grooves are formed, the plaster dries for about 24 hours - only then do you smooth it with a spatula and brush on the diluted C100 Over glaze. The Primer 1200 also has to dry before the plaster goes on, so plan the work over at least two days.

Which rooms is Cemento Rigato suitable for?

Interiors: lofts, offices, living rooms, bedrooms and commercial premises - the decoration is durable and resistant to damage. The kit ends with a glaze, not a sealer, so for a bathroom or kitchen write to us before ordering and we will advise whether and how to protect the wall additionally.

How do I choose the shade and can the kit be returned?

The colour comes from the C100 Over glaze, which we tint to the shade you choose from the Meteore 10 sample book - you can borrow the sample book from us and compare it in your own light. We make the tinted glaze to order, so it cannot be returned - which is why you should work out the area with the calculator, not by eye.

We tint the glaze to your order. Colours prepared to the sample book are made to your individual specification and, under Polish consumer law (art. 38.1.3 of the Consumer Rights Act), cannot be returned. Check the shade on the sample book and work out the quantity with the calculator on this page before you order.

Photos and colour tiles are for guidance only - the colour on screen is not the colour on the wall.
